How do we support our community?

There are many ways our club supports the local community and helps create a safe environment for hitting the trail. Just a few of the things we host and contribute to are:

Events

We regularly host snowmobile events

Snowmobile training

We help new members hit the trails safely

Trail management

We take pride in maintaining the trails we ride

Our event season normally starts in October, but maintaining trails begins earlier. We work with local landowners to preserve our trails and keep Maine beautiful. Email us today if you'd like to join us for our next season.

Our local history

Our local history

The Limestone Snowhawks has been active since 1976. With over 40 years of local history, we've helped generations hit the trails. Parts of the 35 miles of trails we manage originally belonged to Loring Air Force Base, and we've created a loop on one of the old runways with a great view of the base's famous arch hangar. We also maintain a trail that runs along the Canadian border. When you ride with us, you have the chance to take in local history and beautiful natural sites.
